Smoko

Stopped here on Friday for a break on our way to Waihi from North Auckland. The best blueberry muffins, and coffee is very good, asked for it hot, and it was perfect. Felt like one of their steak pies which looked awesome, however it was little too early. Lovely setting out the back in the meadow. After speaking with the new owner they are certainly making a major effort on customer service, which showed, as the service was welcoming and really friendly.

A lovely stop for my day of driving in a gloomy day. I would not rave about the coffee and food, but there is a home feel and freshness about the sourdough the egg and bason. It's hard to do simple things right. The service is warm, I would have pick an outdoor spot but the waitress gently reminded me of the rain. It sells some fresh produce and general items, truly lovely.

Stopped this morning on a ride to Waihi Beach. Delicious hot chocolate but the apple and rhubarb pie was so yummy, so glad I indulged. A great little stop, the quintessential kiwi cafe with all the charm, loved it!

We were gasping for coffee and a sweet treat and Smoko did not disappoint. Service was very friendly, coffee was excellent and the Strawberry tart was delicious. Seating outside with the fantails was an added bonus. We'll definitely stop here again.

This is our "must stop" whenever we drive from Auckland to Coromandel as the coffee tastes heaven here and the team is always happy to serve with a smile (even when we reached at closing time today due to our flat tyres but we were happy with takeaway to avoid inconvenience to them after a busy holiday period)! Their ambience and cleanliness is noteworthy too :)

Fantastic food everytime. The best bacon and avocado bagel ever! Allows our small dog. Great outdoor area in summer. Friendly owners/staff. Our highlight for the trip back and forth.

Nice, cosy little cafe tucked in the middle of nowhere, it’s actually a very good place to relax and have a cup of coffee and snacks. We had just coffee, and it was great. Quite a good selection of snacks available. The place is very tastefully decorated. There is also a wide selection of sauces and Chutney available, ready for sale. Staff is super friendly and nice. I will happily stop here again on my way to Pauanui. Plenty of parking available
